Well, we have a new drummer and new songs...so i suppose saying "coming soon" is fitting.
Update 1/14/08: New Drummer
It's been a while since the last update so first and foremost...welcome aboard Jeremy Choate! We are currently rehearsing our songs both old and NEW, and will be finishing up some recordings and getting ready for a much better year. So to sum up...200H8 will rule.
Update 9/1/07: The Aftermath & The New Beginning...
For those that haven't heard yet, Kristin(lead vocals) was involved in a very serious car accident a few weeks ago. She's getting better now, but it will still be a while before she's back to normal. Also, Kate(rhythm guitar) is finally having surgery to repair the torn acl and mcl in her knee. And, as if that wasn't enough, our drummer had to be let go because he decided that lying, stealing, and cheap drugs were the most important things in his life. This means that we will be taking a bit of a break from full time action, but Derek and I will be auditioning new drummers asap. So if you're interested drop us a line. In closing, August 2007 sucked ass, but tomorrow is another day...see ya soon ;)
Update 8/1/07: Alvin's
Our next show will be August, 18 at Alvin's (located on Cass Ave. in Detroit). We are pre-selling tickets for $10 (they will be $12 at the door). Doors open at 7:00p.m.
Update 5/29/07: "No Time" & Showtime
"No Time" is now available on myspace for your listening pleasure, and don't forget that our first show is on Saturday June, 9 at 6:00 p.m.(doors open at 5:30) at the Wayne Theatre outdoor stage. See ya there.
Update 4/4/07: Show Dates!
We are now starting to book shows for spring/summer...stay tuned.
Update 3/13/07: More New Music!
"Massacure" has been added to our myspace site. Go listen :) www.myspace.com/lyingeyesmusic. Also, news on the finished cd, shows, and merch will be coming soon. Later.
Update 2/1/07: New Rhythm Guitarist
We'd like to officially welcome Kate Bartkowiak as our new rhythm guitarist :) With our line up finally complete, we will be finishing up our debut CD, and then it's showtime. See ya onstage.
Update 1/16/07: NEW MUSIC!!!!
A rough mix for "Innocent People" is up on our myspace page... www.myspace.com/lyingeyesmusic . Enjoy...and there will be lots more to come.
Update 12/19/06: New Low End
We'd like to officially welcome Derek Watson as our new bassist. Derek has a background in jazz, a love of old school metal, and has fit right in. Next up is the 2nd guitar spot. Songs are coming soon as most of the other BS has been weeded through. You'll hear us soon...
Update 11/20/06: The Guestbook
Well, if you're wondering where the guestbook went, just ask the jealous little girls that ruined it for everyone else. Unfortunately, there are a lot of little punks in the world who hide behind their keyboards. These "people" have no lives and get extremely jealous of people that do. So, they talk a bunch of crap that they never back up, become obsessed with the people that they wish they could be, and disappear whenever they are called out on it. These closet fans know that they will never achieve anything, and therefore get angry at those that do. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if you've got a problem, come see us, or leave us a way to contact you and we'll deal with you. If you're as tough as you wish you were, then bring it, and if ya think you're better, then come meet us on stage. Later poseurs, and sorry to those that have legit questions/comments.
Oh, and FYI, there are some younger kids who do view this site, so leaving links to porn sites is not only lame, but makes you liable. Thanks to our friends at Lowe's, we are now tracking ip addresses, so post at your own risk.
Update 11/1/06: Moving On
Due to a lot of personal reasons, and some not so personal reasons, we have decided to part ways with rhythm guitarist Chris Wilde. Chris has many issues to deal with, and as anybody in any band knows, one person's problems can sometimes affect the entire group. We wish Chris luck on whatever it is that he decides to do. Of course this means that we will be looking for another guitarist to fill the empty spot, so stay tuned. Also, you can now check out a few pics from our Halloween performance. Thanks to all who made it a blast. We have a long few weeks of recording and auditioning ahead of us, so we should have some interesting stuff very soon. Later.
Update 9/14/06: Recording Time
Just what the headline says...we are now starting to record the songs that will appear on our first full length cd. We will be posting a few songs and clips when possible, but don't even ask when the finished product will be ready for release because...well...even we don't really know :) So asap will have to do. Keep checking back for updates. Later.
Update 6/30/06: In With The New...
Well, that didn't take too long. We would like to welcome aboard Will Rose as our new drummer. It's good to finally have a hard hitting, dedicated musician behind the kit. That leaves one spot left to fill...calling all bass players. Things are finally falling into place. See ya soon.
Update 4/29/06: Out With The Old...
Due to circumstances beyond our control (namely two little time wasting, backstabbing, no showing, undedicated, and untalented lying little bitches) we are now in the market for a new drummer and bassist. Unfortunately, this means that gigging and recording will be pushed back a bit. Don't worry though, when all is said and done, we will be a much better band. For those that are interested in either position, drop us a line either through this site, or our myspace site and we'll set up an audition. Keep in mind that you must have reliable gear and transportation, be between 18 and 35, and be available for rehearsal at least 2 to 3 days a week. No addicts or undedicated wannabes (we've had enough of those). See ya soon.
March 2006
Well, the website is up, as is our Myspace page. For those of you who don't know, we will be recording our first full length demo/cd which we hope to have finished by late spring/early summer with a kick-ass release party to follow, so stay tuned. Also, we have two videos up on our Myspace page. For some reason this site won't let us post them, so just go to the Links page and it should direct you to Myspace. The quality isn't that great, but then again, if they were great, then what reason would you have to purchase the cd ;) As for upcoming shows...you can see us in a basement near you...er...well actually it's my basement, so I guess it's near me. Don't worry though, you'll see us soon. Later.
